Cognizant of the importance of awareness, early detection and intervention, the Haifa Center runs seminars, workshops, parenting programs, and lectures for parents and teachers. This year the emphasis at the Center has been placed on parental involvement in an effort to reach maximum results with cooperation on all fronts. In addition, Haifa Center staff meets regularly with school staff. Working together and brainstorming for solutions has helped reach dramatic outcomes.

EVENING FOR PARENTS OF NEW CHILDREN receiving treatment at the Haifa Center took place on 22/11/11 with a full house and proved to be both enlightening and informative.

In depth explanations, presentations, and workshops gave parents hands on experience and a feeling of work done at Center. Parents came away with a better understanding of what children with learning disabilities experience. In addition they received tools how to cope with problems. Afterwards parents met with staff for one-on-one meetings.

The evening was a great success and was the beginning of our cooperative work with the parents of children in our care.
